About Bournville
Bournville, in the B30 postcode in south Birmingham, is best known for the model village its name describes — around 7,800 homes on some 1,000 acres, including roughly 100 acres of parks and open space, with a triangular green, a carillon and a Quaker meeting house. The village is owned and governed by the Bournville Village Trust, an independent charity founded in 1900 by George Cadbury, separate from the chocolate factory that shares the area's name. Bournville was built on Quaker temperance principles, and no public house has ever stood within its historic estate boundary.
